Join us for our free online speaker series Facing Change. Every other month, the Barnes brings together artists, scholars, and community activists virtually for a multicultural and intergenerational conversation about race in America.

Our August conversation focuses on identity—the qualities, beliefs, personality traits, and/or physical appearance that make up a person or group. The panel features educator and activist Françoise Thenoux, mural artist Ernel Martinez, and musician Daniel de Jesús with producer Loraine Ballard Morrill as moderator. During the program, you’ll be encouraged to use the chat function to submit your own questions. The live chat will be moderated by curator Ginger Rudolph.

Registrants will be emailed a link to the program by 5pm on Monday, August 16.
