New Jersey Heritage Tourism Requesting Proposals for Theme Development

The New Jersey Historical Trust is seeking proposals from a consultant team to develop theme based content for a website to support heritage tourism development and promotion for the FIRST of six identified themes: New Jersey in Conflict.

Pinterest for Public History

Pinterest is a virtual bulletin board to which users “pin” images. With 25 million users and the ability to drive more clicks than any other social media site, including Facebook, Pinterest is an alluring platform for public history. In June I offered a workshop at MARCH aimed at small- to medium-sized organizations with new users who have limited time to devote to social media.

Heinz History Center Plans For New Storage Space & Conservation Center

The Sen. John Heinz History Center received a $5 million gift from the estate of the late William S. Dietrich II, a longtime trustee.  The Center will use the gift to renovate a neighboring building into the William S. Dietrich
